Three Facial Soap Recipes With Anti-Aging benefits

We've now made many homemade soaps together, but I think very few of them for our faces. Making proper soaps for our face can be tricky because we all have such different skin.

So today we’re going to be making three different soaps – one for normal skin, one for oily, and the other for dry skin. And the best thing about them – they’re all going to have an ingredient that has anti-ageing benefits!

Anti-aging Soaps for Normal Skin

So, what is the best melt-and-pour soap for your face?

Since our faces are a bit more delicate than the rest of our bodies, the best choice would be to have some sort of shea butter melt-and-pour, or jojoba melt-and-pour, basically any kind of melt and pour with some sort of oil or butter in it.

If you don’t find that, you can easily use usual melt and pour base, and add butter or oil later.

And because this soap is intended for extra sensitive skin, we will add as few ingredients as possible no colors or fragrance, or anything that would irritate the skin on our face.

Supplies

  • 1 pound of Melt-and-Pour
  • 1 and a half TBSP of Coconut oil – It is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, it’s an excellent moisturizer – it’s great for normal skin because it doesn’t dry it.out or make it oily. It keeps the skin hydrated, and while you sleep it helps the skin repair itself.
  • Apple Seed Essential Oil – it is rich in fatty acids, which help with the softening of the skin, and it gives nutrition deep inside the skin.
  • It also has alpha-hydroxy fruit acids which exfoliate the skin, remove dead cells, plus it’s rich with anti-oxidants which help against wrinkles.

Step by Step Direction for Normal Skin Facial Soap Recipe

  • Your 1st Step :– Take your melt-and-pour glycerin soap and place it into a bowl. If you want it to heat up faster – try grating it, instead of cutting it in little pieces. Place the bowl in a microwave and keep heating it up every 30 seconds, until it melts halfway.
  • Instead of a microwave you can use the stove. Just place the bowl with the soap into a pot with water, and gently heat it up while stirring.
Heat the melt and pour at stove
  • Your 2nd Step :– Gently add your coconut oil (you can use olive oil instead), and stir it in.
Gently add your coconut oil
  • Your 3rd Step :– Now add the apple seed essential oil, about 15 drops per pound of soap mixture.

Tiny hint – If you want your soap to be even gentler for the skin – add a few drops of TEA TREE OIL into your soap. You can do this for any of your soaps!

  • Your 4th Step :– Now stir it all together, until everything melts, and pour it into your mold.

Let it cure for 24 hours, and then try it out!

Anti-aging Soap for Oily Skin

These recipes are quite similar with ingredients; however, each has a special ingredient for different skin types. The first one had coconut oil for normal skin, this one will have zeolite clay for oily skin.

Zeolite clay is usually ‘green’ in color, but mine is some sort of beige, so don’t be agitated if your zeolite clay is some sort of green or beige colors – both are okay

Ingredients for This Facial Soap Recipe

  • 1 Pound of Melt-and-Pour
  • 1 and a half tbsp zeolite clay – it removes heavy metals and toxins, it helps balance PH levels of skin. It is great for oily skin because it takes away the extra oil, but leaves the good oils in the skin, so it doesn’t dry out the skin.
  • Acai Berry Essential Oil – Because it has vitamins A, C and E, it helps with regeneration of the skin.
  • It’s unique properties help skin glow and look younger – it also helps against wrinkles. Because it’s an antioxidant it has awesome anti-ageing benefits, controls acne, helps with scars and overall improves skin’s quality.

Anti-aging Soap for Dry Skin

The last soap recipe is for those with dry skin.

And yeah, I know – our skin types change with age – just a few years  ago I had really oily skin, then I had combination skin, now I have dry skin most of the time, and oily skin in the summer.

So, I make all of these recipes because I never know what my skin will be like. Anyway, as we all know, oil and butter are great for dry skin.

Tiny hint – Before you got to bed just take some of that shea butter, or jojoba oil, make sure you’ve placed some water on your face before, and rub it in – it gives you awesome soft skin in the morning.

Ingredients for This Facial Soap Recipe

  • 1 pound of Melt-and-Pour
  • 1 and a half tbsp shea butter – It is moisturizing, is full of fatty acids and natural vitamins, is often used as a remedy for dry skin, plus it also helps to protect natural oils.
  •  It repairs skin and boosts collagen, which is the most important building block in our skin for fighting wrinkles.
shea butter
  • Pomegranate Seed Essential Oil – It is full of ellagic acid, and antioxidants which penetrate skin quite deeply, enhance skin texture and are anti-ageing.
  • Ellagic acid helps prevent UV damage to the skin and could help protect against skin cancer!

Tiny hint – you may also add a TSP or two of Green Tea – it also helps with calming the skin, and helps against wrinkles!
